A lot of people would go with the DeLorean, because it’s the DeLorean, folks! But, I’m going to pass on that one, because even though it’s basically a make-believe scenario, I am not going through the hassle of finding some plutonium. What I’d go for instead, even though it’s not a traditional vehicle, is a transporter from Star Trek. Sure, there’s tons of controversy around how it actually works vis-à -vis killing the original person and reassembling a replica in the second location. But here’s the thing, some would argue that it actually transforms you into energy, transports you, and then reassembles THE SAME YOU at the new location.
It’s basically the same working concept as a telephone. It transforms speech into an electrical signal and then back into speech. No one goes around scared that it’d steal their voice, right? If you really want to lean into the replica theory, mull over this. Our bodies are constantly being disassembled and reassembled on a cellular level. Sure, the process is slower, but it’s a fact, and since it is a fictional vehicle, I think it’s a small price to pay for random trips to the pyramids or the Bahamas.
