No questions, it’s Courage the Cowardly Dog. I’m not sure I’m over some of the stuff I saw on that show. Yes, I’m talking about Eustace turning into a foot and of course the episode with the Ramses’ slab. I doubt Courage the Cowardly Dog was particularly horrifying per se, it had more of an eerie air to it that I couldn’t shake off. Am I totally over the eeriness? Not at all, however, that’s one of the things I presently love about the show.
Even more, with my adult understanding I can now pick out themes of love and loyalty, diversity, and humor in the midst of the very tangible terror. So, over to you, do you have a TV show that terrified you as a kid, but is now a personal favorite?
Are you in the mood for some good ol’ fashioned nostalgia with a dose of fear? Courage the Cowardly Dog is streaming on Prime Video.
