Only a week? I’d love to move to the Potterverse permanently. Outside the fact that I’d be able to do magic (I ain’t no muggle), you have to admit it’s one of the best-built fictional worlds out there. I also love the fact that though magic is predominant, the Potterverse is still pretty much rooted in elements of reality.
As I’ve grown older, I’ve come to really appreciate how the Potterverse doesn’t shy away from darker elements like danger, fear, and even loss. Even more, it doesn’t take things overboard like Westeros where, let’s face it, I’d probably be dead by the end of the week. At the end of the day, despite the dark times and an over-the-top villain, the Potterverse retains an air of enchantment and hope that makes it a swell place for a short vacation.
